| Delroc Industries Ltd., Federated Co-Operatives, La Coop Federee, The Sexton Group Ltd and the Independent Lumber Dealers Cooperative (ILDC) are excited to announce they are joining forces effective January 1, 2009. While Delroc and Sexton will be joining as full Members, Federated Coop and Co-op Federee will be part of ILDC in the area of Lumber and Building Materials only, while continuing their partnership in Spancan for Hardlines. The combined members' volume will exceed $ 4 billion through 1000 outlets in every province across Canada, a truly national organization that will strongly support its supplier partners in their quest to build their market share. The combined organization will draw on its strong history of working cooperatively to improve each member's business. In addition to purchasing merchandise at the lowest landed cost the organization will continue its strong tradition of sharing best practices. While respecting individual diversity and past success the renewed organization will operate with a newly energized spirit of full cooperation and ambition on behalf of its members. The combined Members will operate under the current ILDC structure and name, with administrative offices in Ajax, Ontario. Andrew Battagliotti will continue to serve as the General Manager of ILDC. New colours and logo will be a symbolic representation of the increased purchasing strength, and significant evolution that have transpired at ILDC. This expansion of ILDC will not create any changes to the purchasing of hardware through Spancan, of which IHDA ( ILDC and Tim-Br-Marts), Federated Coop. and Co-op Federee are Members.
