 Jim Ritchie - President Jim has been in the building materials business for over 35 years. He started with the Synkoloid Company of Canada in 1968 as a junior chemist and worked his way up through various positions in the company until becoming President in 1991. Under his management, the company - along with Beadex Manufacturing - expanded its market area, market share, and revenue. In 1997, Jim led a team of investors to acquire the Synkoloid Company and Beadex Manufacturing. After increasing the revenue and profitability of the businesses, they were sold to CGC Inc. and USG Corporation. Jim joined USG to assume the role of Vice President of Business Development in 2000. More recently, he was President of Recon Building Products in Abbotsford and a consultant to various building material businesses. |
